Darwin Experience

This experience invites you to relive part of the journey made by Charles Darwin navigating the Santa Cruz River .

From Paraje Charles Furh, located at the mouth of Lago Argentino, 40 kms from El Calafate, we start a 15 km float for 90 min. to Estancia El Rincón.

After the explanatory talk given by the guides, the necessary equipment is provided: double fiberglass kayaks, carbon paddles (they do not transmit cold), protection case for cell phones that allow you to take pictures without getting wet, Goretex dry suits, life jackets, boots and gloves.

At the Estancia, the kayakers’ arrival is awaited with a Patagonian lunch, after which the return trip begins in a 4x4 vehicle along a gravel road and the famous National Route 40.

Note: The companions who do not wish to participate in the float, can go in the vans and meet at the estancia with the rest of the group for lunch.
