Safari Experience

The Estancia 25 de Mayo Nature Reserve is part of the Private Reserves Program of the Azara Foundation - Maimonides University. There, native flora and fauna coexist with fossil remains from 70 million years ago when there were beaches in the same place.

These lands, today converted into Patagonian steppe in its purest state, are home to native fauna, ostriches, condors and guanacos, which appear in huge herds that invite incredible moments of closeness.

The Safari covers about 50km of crossing that offers to live Patagonia with the five senses and discover the natural treasures that the Patagonian desert hides.

Only 30 minutes from El Calafate, you enter the reserve in 4×4 vehicles up to an altitude of about 1,000 meters above sea level, passing through canyons and mountains until you reach LA SECCION, the emblematic outpost of Estancia 25 de Mayo.

The expedition alternates between van rides and walking to panoramic points where the observation of birds and wildlife is the focus of attention of the participants, who begin their PHOTO SAFARI, selecting for themselves the appropriate time to capture each image.
